About Jenny

Jenny Fisher is a visual artist and art educator.

Teaching is her passion. She has 7+ years of experience developing and teaching art and design programs at the university, K-12, and adult level. She holds an MFA degree in Painting and Studio Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design.  She is currently a Professor of Art at Western Carolina University in North Carolina.

Jenny is a tactile-oriented artist

Textures have always fascinated her.  In her work, she creates surface etchings and visual textures as a means to investigate the language of touch.  She travels to various historic sites and and natural settings to document them.  She has even documented a World War II historic P-51 Mustang aircraft.
